We have Started Our Journey to serve you from 1993
Leonhard graduated in hospitality studies in Germany, qualifying him as Restaurateur and Hotelier. He was enrolled at Hotel School in Siegen from 1990 to 1996, where the theoretical part of his studies was completed, whilst he completed his practical studies at the Relais & Chateux Hotel Jagdhof GLashütte, Bad Laasphe, according to the dual tertiary education system. He obtained his diploma as Restaurateur in front of the International Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Siegen, North-Rhine Westfalia in June 1993.
Immediately thereafter he furthered his studies as Hotelier and obtained his Diploma in front of the same institutions in January 1996. He returned thereafter to Namibia for a short practical exchange and gained experience at Mokuti Lodge in the Front Office Management. In September 1996 he returned to Germany where he started in his own capacity a Classical American Cocktail Bar affiliated to the Hotel Jagdhof Glashütte in Bad Laasphe. His ‘Heimweh’ to Namibia brought him back to his motherland in 1999 where he started as Restaurant Manager at Café Schneider. From there he worked in different capacities and establishments in Windhoek amongst others: O’Badejo Marisquiera, Joe’s Beerhouse, El Gaucho Argentine Grill, Bauernstube Restaurant.
Leonhard eventually established his own consultancy providing training and development to Lodges, Hotels and Restaurants building human capacity all over Namibia. Passion for offering food with a superb service however urged him to establish his own Restaurant.
